How far can I take this?

Here lately I have found myself doing some serious soul searching. Mainly about what I'd like to do with my life, and what I picture for me and my little family. There are very few things I am passionate about, one of those things is blogging. I originally started blogging as an outlet and a kind of virtual journal for all of my family and friends when Justin and I were in Georgia. Looking at how our lives have changed and the information we have to offer, my reasons for blogging have sort of expanded. I love being considered a resource for other parents, military wives, and people that are looking for natural and organic methods. While I still enjoy writing about my everyday life and my frustrations, my gears are definitely shifted more towards discussing baby products, motherhood, and talking about parenting styles that Justin and I use.

I've tried to take this leap before, but on the priority scale, blogging just didn't cut it. I have decided to take another leap to see how I can allow my blog to grow. I started out small by adding Google ad sense to my blog page. I have honestly made a decent penny from doing that. I plan on furthering the type of services Simply Howland can offer. I don't know if I want to advertise, but I definitely want to work my way into more product reviews. Most of my readers are moms, or moms-to-be, and I'd really like to give as much insight to products that my general audience could potentially use.

I plan on taking baby steps to achieve this new goal of mine. Any type of commitment doesn't come easy, but I plan on giving my new goal all the attention it needs. As Ava grows, I know my knowledge for a lot of different merchandise will as well. I really wanted to take a second and thank all of those who tune into my personal blog. I've not only given feedback, but received feedback as well. This blog has created a second layer of support for me, and I am so very grateful for all the optimism that is displayed.

I'm in the middle of researching all the financial opportunities/obligations that come with a goal like this, and hopefully over these next few months, I will have all that set in motion. Blogging isn't something I see being a career goal, but who knows, if the healthcare field ever plummets ( I hope to heaven it doesn't), I wouldn't mind having networking as a back up.

On that note, happy Wednesday all!
