How are we here already? 26 weeks down, and only 98 more days until Olivia's due date... YES! We are in the double digits people! If baby number two's pregnancy has gone by this quickly, I can't imagine how quickly a third would go. Livy is active and well these days, and she has proven to be completely different from her big sister with movement. Olivia moves day and night, and I love it! Her kicks still aren't too painful, but there are times when her movement stops me in my tracks. You can see her movement from the outside without question, and I've gotten her stronger kicks on video for Justin. This next week is going to be a baby haul galore. I am finally going to buckle down and order all that we have left to purchase for Livy bean's arrival. Today I picked up a couple cute outfits for her, a backseat mirror, and one of those safety kits with all the essentials.
How far Along: 26 weeks
Nicknames for baby: Livy Bean, Olivia
Size of baby: About the size of a long necked onion, aka scallion
Gender: It's a girl!
Symptoms: Heartburn, back pains, swollen feet
Best moment this week: entering the double digit countdown!
Movement: This little girl moves day and night these days
Food Cravings: Olives, banana peppers, and salami
Food Aversions: anything red sauce based
What I Miss: Definitely missing my husband and his sweet tendencies with my baby bump
Sleep: Honestly, sleep has been good. I can't complain these days.
Justin: Since he's in the field, things have been a little emotional for us all. He did record a voice memo and sent it to me, saying "Olivia, I love you" and that was super sweet. I send him videos of her kicking me, and we talk about her when we can. His time has been limited, and is about to get even more limited. It's tough, especially since he left around the best part in the second trimester... frequent movement that can be felt by all! I know he's anxiously awaiting until his field time is over, and I can honestly say I am too!
Ava: She is so obsessed with all things baby. Baby clothes, baby gear, gadgets, etc. I've noticed that she's become even sweeter and more attentive with her toy babies, and it seriously warms my heart. We talk about Olivia every single day still, and I get belly kisses more times than I can count in a day. This girl is going to be the best big sister!
What I am looking forward to this week: I am looking forward to being one week closer to having Justin home, and one week closer to my 28 week OB appointment.
Happy or moody most of the time: I have definitely been a lot more moody this week, and it's due to the sickness that ran rapid through this house this past week, and the fact that I don't have Justin home to help and comfort. I usually just cry at night when I'm reflecting, but I try to keep myself in the best spirits despite some of the intense stuff we have going on. One thing is for sure, bonding and embracing my belly turns any mood into instant happiness!
Here's a picture from this morning of big sister Ava loving on the 26 week belly!
