31 Weeks

Tuesday, November 17, 2015
I wanted to stick to making these highlights every couple of weeks, but being that I am literally only 9 weeks away from my due date (yay for the single digit weeks!), I think it might be fitting to start making weekly updates. I am happy to report that I no longer have a Bartholin cyst, and I no longer have a hemorrhoid. I feel like they literally went away over night, and I am SO, so glad that those discomforts are gone. I have yet to go back in to do another one hour glucose test, but that will be coming up later this week. I'll let you know how that goes once I get the results. I'm pretty giddy at the thoughts of being so close to meeting this baby girl of ours, and I'm not quite sure if I will end up making it to my due date..I just have this feeling Olivia may come out a week or so early. Call it mommy's intuition, but we'll see! Because we are so close to meeting our sweet Livy Bean, we have been discussing baby # 3... I know, I know.. premature, but I think we may very well be trying for another Howland baby SOON after Olivia arrives... on that note, thee highlights!

How far Along31 weeks

Nicknames for baby: Livy Bean, Olivia

Size of babyI guarantee that Livy is just over 4 pounds (bigger than the size of a coconut)

Gender: It's a girl!

Symptoms: Feeling winded, braxton hicks GALORE, NESTING

Best moment this week: Having my worst pregnancy symptoms go away

Movement: ALL. THE. TIME.

Food Cravings: Orange juice, Justin's over easy eggs, strawberry ice cream

Food Aversions: anything red sauce based

What I Miss: I miss being able to get off the couch by myself.

Sleep: I get extremely good sleep, especially for how active this baby girl is.

Justin: Definitely crushing on this man during this past week. We put up our Christmas tree extremely early (look out for a blog post on that), and we put our special ornaments on the tree, including the one we bought for Olivia. He's been watching her move in my belly while we play different songs for her, waiting for her to show us what she likes. We took the time to go over all the things we want in our hospital bag, and we squared away who will be watching Ava bug while I am in labor.

Ava: Everything with Ava remains pretty consistent and the same. Her excitement and love for her sissy hasn't changed at all, I think as I'm getting bigger, she's becoming more aware that baby girl will soon be on her way. I'm thankful for the older sister Olivia will have, and I am grateful that Ava has been such a big help in this pregnancy. Even here lately, with feeling winded and not being able to walk on my feet as long, she always tries to help out.

What I am looking forward to this week: I am looking forward to prepping for our Christmas trip to New York, in almost less than a month! I can't wait to experience my first Northeast Christmas, especially with that New York snow!

Happy or moody most of the time: I'd definitely say that I'm fairly happy. I'm pretty worried about all the crazy going on in our world as of late. It's got me really emotional thinking that I will be bringing another innocent life into such a cruel and dangerous world. I desperately try not to let those kinds of thoughts get to me, or cloud my mind.. but it is definitely hard. Justin has reassured me a lot in the past few days, and his comfort definitely helps. Hopefully next week I'm back to my perky old self!
