32 Weeks Pregnant

Tuesday, November 24, 2015
Things have been so crazy busy this past week, I totally spaced on writing a highlight. For starters, I had a second elevated reading from my glucose one hour test..Initially I was told it was a lab error, than I was told that my results were okay...BUT they needed another test result on file.. I didn't see the need for it, but I complied. Normally when these tests are given, you aren't suppose to leave the waiting area (whoops!). I was actually told that it was okay to walk around... but that turned into making a trip to the shopette, making an appointment with the ultrasound department, and scheduling out my next four appointments with OB. I'm left with two choices as of now, even with the first reading apparently being in the normal range. Take the three hour glucose test, OR use a glucometer and strips to test my blood sugar each week. Both options aren't appealing to me, but if I definitely do have gestational diabetes, I want to be proactive about it. I'm actually not entirely worried about this, only because my blood pressure has always been amazing, and Olivia isn't teetering over the 100% percentile for her growth. A large part of me feels like I'm going to be at a laboratory for four hours.. being poked on four different occasions. We went ahead and scheduled Olivia's next growth scan, which will be when I'm just a day shy of 35 weeks. I'm excited to see baby girl again, and to see how much she's weighing in at.

How far Along32 weeks

Nicknames for baby: Livy Bean, Olivia

Size of babyI guarantee that Livy is about 4.5 pounds ( still measuring two weeks ahead)

Gender: It's a girl!

Symptoms: Feeling winded, braxton hicks GALORE, NESTING, emotional

Best moment this week: Justin got to feel Olivia rolling around for a good 5-10 minutes

Movement: ALL. THE. TIME.

Food Cravings: Orange juice, egg nog, bagels with cheese

Food Aversions: anything red sauce based

What I Miss: Not feeling achy when I wake up

Sleep: I get extremely good sleep, once I am out, I am out!

Justin: Not too much has changed with the mister. We did pick out Olivia's coming home outfit yesterday, and that was exciting to say the least. He also reminded me that we only have three MAJOR holidays left until we meet our little girl. He's definitely starting to notice that this baby is growing, and that she'll soon be here. It's kind of surreal for him, but I'm so over the moon about his excitement.

Ava: While this isn't really pertaining to Olivia, Ava has been making major strides within her toddler self. She took her first unassisted/untold poop in her potty, and we literally had an entire cinco de mayo like celebration! I have been holding out on full blown potty train by using the excuse "We'll let her set the path" but her path begun a long time ago, and it's time I face the music that my baby is growing. It's bittersweet to say I have a potty-trained toddler, but I know it's what's best for her.

What I am looking forward to this week: I am looking forward to enjoying Thanksgiving with Justin's platoon and their families. I'm also giddy at the thoughts of this being our last Thanksgiving as a family of three because in just 8 short weeks, we'll be a family of four.

Happy or moody most of the time: I'm a happy gal! I've been feeling things a lot more heavily than usual, but I'm almost certain that has a lot to do with being pregnant. I even told Justin I wanted a tattoo the other day.. he also chucked that comment up to pregnancy and it's glorious hormones. I'm feeling pretty content and excited for the holidays and life for the most part though.
