The Leaky B@@b

Thursday, June 5, 2014
Last night something really beautiful happened. I was featured on The Leaky B@@b's Facebook page and an article on their website. I sent in my story to Jessica (the owner) basically as a way to show how excited I was about making it through one full year of nursing. Thousands of people submit photos and stories, and only a handful of photos or stories actually make it in a post or article. I got a message from Jessica yesterday morning, and she was over the moon about the photo that Chloe from Chloe Photography took of Ava and I. She asked if she could share our story, and of course I said yes!

Since the article went live, I have received so many positive responses and kind words. I have always loved the normalize breastfeeding community, and this is exactly why. We empower one another, we support one another, and we celebrate one another during special milestones. This is truly an honor and I'm humbled that there are people inspired by my story. It felt amazing to have so many people display so many emotions and motivation over my experience. Moms to be were commenting and writing to me, telling me how much I gave them hope. How much this story helped them. As a huge advocate in the breastfeeding community, this is all I really wanted. I wanted to be inspiration. I wanted to be support.

You really can make a real life difference in this world. All you have to do is believe in yourself, and believe that you are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. Here is a link to the article that my story is featured in. It pertains to breastfeeding photos and their significance. I hope my readers enjoy it as much as I did. A huge thanks to Chloe for capturing the beautiful essence that has everyone in awe. You are an amazing photographer and I really cannot wait to do future sessions with you.

Happy Thursday all!
