28 Weeks

We have made it to the THIRD and FINAL trimester, folks! I am literally beside myself with how exciting this phase is for my family. Things are feeling so very "final stretch" for me as I'm not only finding it harder to look down at my toes, but I am also becoming very unbalanced with the extra cargo I am carrying around. As i'm writing this, I know there are just 84 days; Only 84 days (potentially) stand between me meeting my second baby girl. It's so surreal for me to think that's less than three months away. As I make my way towards the final weeks of this pregnancy, I am making serious progress with getting everything prepped for Olivia and I. I'm also making serious progress with getting myself scheduled for birthing classes, labor coach classes, etc. My goal is to have this entire family as "ready" as we can be to prepare for the 4th member of this family. With that being said, let's dig into the pregnancy highlights for this week!

How far Along28 weeks

Nicknames for baby: Livy Bean, Olivia

Size of babyAbout the size of a large eggplant (almost 2.5 lbs)

Gender: It's a girl!

Symptoms: Feeling winded, swollen feet, congested in the morning

Best moment this week: Beginning the third trimester

Movement: This little girl moves day and night

Food Cravings: Oranges, rice pudding, egg nog

Food Aversions: anything red sauce based

What I Miss: Being able to be as active as I want throughout the day

Sleep: I have definitely been tossing and turning a lot more, which I'm not a fan of.

Justin: He has been home for only almost 48 hours, and he has been completely amazing. Rubbing my feet, taking over the household chores I've had to do these last four weeks, and making sure I'm not carrying anything too heavy (including our toddler). He's been able to feel some of Olivia's hard kicks, and it's safe to say that he is so excited about this baby girl. He remains so supportive, loving, and helpful. I'm really thankful to have him home and I'm so ready to dive into more baby geared things on our "to-do" list.

Ava: Her excitement level is pretty much the same all the time, but I'm certain that once her sister arrives, the hype is going to increase immensely. She loves being around babies, helping with babies, and she's recently started pulling out her big sister books again. Daily belly kisses are still a must, when we ask her where her sissy is, she points to my belly. She hugs my belly. This really is just such a precious aspect of being pregnant with Olivia.

What I am looking forward to this week: My OB appointment this afternoon, and taking some maternity photos with my husband and Ava bug for Halloween (we have some pretty awesome family costumes, so be on the lookout).

Happy or moody most of the time: I am definitely a happy mama as of late. My family is together, we are all experiencing the growth of Livy bean together, and we are all so anxiously waiting for my due date to arrive. I got to bed happy, I wake up happy, and aside from feeling extremely tired mid day, I really don't have a complaint in the world.
