Fourteen years.
Fourteen years of choosing each other, of growing together, of navigating life hand in hand. Fourteen years of love, laughter, challenges, sacrifices, and a life that has been beautifully ours. And somehow, it still doesn’t feel like enough time—I’d choose forever with you, over and over again.
Our wedding anniversary has always been wrapped in something extra special. On this day, nine years ago, we became parents for the second time. Our Olivia Rose entered the world on the same day that, years before, we promised to build a life together. It feels fitting, really. A reminder that love—real love—doesn’t just exist in the big moments, but in the everyday ones. In the babies we’ve raised, in the home we’ve built, in the thousands of ways we show up for each other, even when life is heavy, even when we’re exhausted, even when the world keeps shifting around us.
Justin, loving you has been the greatest adventure.
You are my best friend, my constant, the one person who can make me laugh when I need it most and the steady presence I can always count on. Through every move, deployment, every challenge that military life has thrown our way, you have been unwavering. And in the middle of it all, in between the stress and the unknowns, there is always us. The foundation we’ve built. The way we still look at each other and know—this is home.
You are the father I always dreamed my children would have. The kind of dad who shows up, who gets on the floor and plays, who coaches baseball, who makes time, who leads with quiet strength and an endless capacity for love. Our kids adore you. They see you. They know just how lucky they are to have you, and so do I.
Fourteen years later, I still look at you and see the boy I fell in love with—only now, I also see the man who has held my hand through it all. Who has wiped my tears, celebrated my wins, and carried me through my losses. Who has been my safe place and my greatest love.
I wouldn’t change a thing. Not the hard parts, not the sacrifices, not the years that stretched us, because all of it led us here. And here? Here is exactly where I want to be.
Fourteen years down. Forever to go.
I love you, Justin. Happy anniversary.
