I can’t believe my baby is nine years old. You have always been the child who reaches the next milestone before I can even blink, growing and changing faster than I feel ready for. And still, here you are—fierce, brilliant, forward-thinking, and completely you. You know what you want, you stand firm in what you believe, and you carry an undeniable strength in everything you do. You challenge the world around you, always asking questions, always thinking ahead. I have no doubt that one day, you won’t just follow your dreams—you’ll help others reach theirs, too.

This year, you found a new love for gymnastics, and I have loved watching you throw yourself into this sport. The way you flip, swing on the bars, balance on the beam—you are fearless, determined, and so full of energy. When you set your mind on something, even when it’s hard, even when frustration creeps in, you keep going. You want to master new things this year, and if there is one thing I know about you, it’s that you will.

You also fell in love with reading in a whole new way, and my heart is so happy seeing you discover the magic of books. Watching you get lost in a story, carefully turning the pages, soaking in every detail—it’s something special. You finished your first Harry Potter book late last year, and while you’re taking your time with the rest, I love that you’re experiencing them at your own pace. No rush, no pressure—just my girl, discovering new worlds one page at a time.

And then there’s Roblox—oh boy, you are all in! If there was ever a year you truly got into gaming, it’s this one. I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant at first, but we’ve found ways to make sure you enjoy it safely, and it’s been so fun to see you light up when you talk about it. You have this way of explaining things with such excitement that even when I don’t totally understand what’s happening in the game, I just love hearing you talk about it.

Beyond books and games, this has been the year you truly stepped into your girly pop era—and honestly, I always knew you would. Skincare routines, getting your nails done, loving all things stylish and cute—it’s just who you are. You’ve always had this effortless confidence, this sense of knowing exactly what you love and embracing it without hesitation. You know what makes you feel good, what makes you you, and I love watching you shine in that.

But this year hasn’t just been about new interests—it’s also been a year of big changes. Moving across the country, leaving behind everything familiar, starting over in a brand-new school—that’s not easy. And yet, you have handled it all with so much grace and strength. You’ve made new friends, adjusted to a new environment, and found your own way, just like I knew you would. It’s never easy to start over, but you have done it in a way that is so uniquely you—steadfast, open-hearted, and fearless.

Olivia, you have always been a force, a girl who walks through life with her head held high, never afraid to stand firm in who she is. Nothing has changed.
