It's a "Hooah" thing

One thing I absolutely love about the Army, would be the comradery. It's a rare thing to see in our Military these days, but when you do, it moves you. My husband has been so fortunate to find life long brothers at each duty station he has been to. Since marrying me into all that is Army, I have had a chance to catch a glimpse of this myself. I think the ultimate test of comradery presents itself when our soldiers are in a battle zone. That's crunch time for them. With all the nasty, horrible things that war brings, I'm glad there is this beautiful silver lining. Today was nice, Justin and I had lunch with his squad. I haven't laughed like that, since before they deployed. All the soldiers were cooing at our baby, calling Ava their niece... And she is. They are brothers. We have this entire extended family away from family that I am so grateful for. There are a million things I can take away from the Army as of now. One thing, one thing I love love love about Justin and I, is that we put out what we receive. We aren't standoffish, we aren't artificial, we aren't zombies! We are genuine, and welcoming, and warm. When you put out that type of energy you are bound to make some sort of ripple effect. We have been fortunate thus far, of course we've had our share of bad apples, but all in all we can't complain. This is why I am so excited for Texas. It just gives us another opportunity to meet new people, see new faces, develop new friendships. Isn't that what life is all about?
