99 days

It's coming up so quickly, Christmas is in 99 days! This year is especially special to me (yes I'm discussing Christmas in September) and I can no longer contain my excitement. I didn't get to spend Christmas with Justin last year because he was deployed and Ava hadn't made her grand entrance yet. I blog a lot more on tumblr than I do blogspot and all I see in my dash is everything Christmas. I'm ready for warm fires, a perfect Christmas tree and my family together for the holiday's. I know Ava isn't old enough to understand the significance of this time of year, but I'd like to start adding on some family traditions that we can carry through her childhood and even her adult years. Justin's grandmother has always made us Christmas tree ornaments each year of our marriage, so I'm excited to see what she comes up with for Ava. I've already started brainstorming what I want our family photos to look like for December AND we've already purchased our outfits for these photos. They could change from now to then, but getting into this prep stage makes me all warm and fuzzy. This has always been my favorite time of the year. You get to watch miracles happen. People are overcome with kindness, warm hearts, and truly embrace the spirit of giving.

You also get to blast Christmas jams, watch all your favorite holiday movies, and snuggle with loved ones while sipping cider or cocoa. Yes, you guessed right, I am a total cliche holiday junkie! The fact that I have my little girl here, has made my excitement multiply by like 1,000,000. I can't wait to make the switch with her lullabies. We started silver bells, but it really is too soon to bust out in Christmas song. Ahh! the feeling I'm feeling right now is what life is all about. Making memories with the people who count, starting traditions, being together. Spending these "first years" with my child. I think my Christmas spirit is so overwhelming heavy that my husband is also anticipating all that is winter. This year, will be a year to remember!
